NOTE: Some maps are modular maps made of individual tiles. For tournament play, the tiles must be assembled in the intended configuration of the same side of map where the column letters/row numbering are in alpha/numerical order of the same map side.
NOTE: Maps with additional rules will be treated as not having those rules (including all location bonuses). If those maps have terrain marked in orange, that terrain is treated as clear if it doesn't also have another colored terrain border.
Use the Silver Age legal map list (2’ x 3’ maps legal on that list ARE legal in this format).
The build total is 400 points.
No more than 200 points of costed game elements may come from sets that are Modern Age legal. (There is no tentpole exception, there is no sideline floor)
All game elements are treated as being Unique (There is no generic exception)
There is no rule preventing a player from winning with Mission Points
there is no rule stating any maximum percentage of your sideline game elements can be modern age

The Pulp Format only allows you to use non-prime figures from DC Comics and Marvel booster sets that have white, green, or silver rarity tabs. all characters used in this format are considered Unique. Other than characters, the only game elements allowed in Pulp are maps, standard terrain markers, and any generated game element depicted on a character's card. No other non-character game elements can be used.
legacy cards are never considered to have white, green, or silver rarity tabs. Team Up Cards are not legal. Alternate cards are not legal. Game elements generated from outside the game need to conform to these rules.
